Summary of your action plan in SUPPORT

MF Associates – Action plan

o To highlight good practice in ‘learning’ for sustainable development in order to inform practitioners in schools across Europe.
o To learn from best practice case studies of schools in other countries and to share such case studies from England in particular where
o These school act as a focus for the wider school community to become more sustainable.
o They integrate external agencies into the key learning purpose of schools for example in the field of sustainable energy
o They are involved in engaging students in ‘Sustainable School Design’

In addition I also aspire

o To highlight and promote opportunities for wider ESDGC collaboration with European and world-wide schools and teacher training institutions, raising the profile of ESDGC as an international issue;
o To make links with ESD facilitators in other countries and learn from their experiences and methodologies;
o To learn about ESD in teacher education in other countries. Through my links with colleagues in the RCE (Regional Centre of Excellence) East Midlands (RCEEM) Initial Teacher Training (ITT) group I am keen to further develop these international links. http://www2.le.ac.uk/projects/rceem/working-groups
o To encourage teachers and pupils to learn more about climate change through taking part in the Climate Change campaign.
Finally
o MF Associates also has a particular focus on developing learning and teaching in the field of ‘Sustainable energy’ and I would like to share this good practice with others working in this field within the SUPPORT network
o I have also had recent success in using peer education to change attitudes in relation to climate change and would like to share good practice. I am looking for opportunities for our young peer educators to disseminate this work with other young people and practitioners across Europe.
