Norwegian Directorate for Education and Training presents its work in the field of education for sustainable development

A document where the Norwegian Directorate for Education and Training (NDET) presents its work in
the field of education for sustainable development in the Norwegian primary, lower secondary and upper secondary education system. NDTE's purpose of the publication is to clarify its goals, priorities and activities for the period 2006-2010. To open the document, click here. 

The document is intended for educational policy-makers, school administrators at various levels,
school owners, school owners and heads of schools. It is also intended for cooperating partners involved in Education for Sustainable Development outside the school.

The document is a contribution to Norway's implementation of both the United Nation's Decade for Education for Sustainable Development (2005-2014) and the European strategy for education for sustainable development developed under the auspices of UNECE (United Nations Economic Commission for Europe). It is also part of the realization of the Baltic-Nordic strategy Baltic 21E.
