Conference in Latvia on "Sustainable Development - Culture - Education"

The conference is organized by The Institute of Sustainable Education of the Daugavpils University, Latvia. was
founded in 2003 as a scientific research structural unit of the Faculty
of Education and Management. See the information below:

7th International JTEFS/BBCC Conference "Sustainable Development - Culture - Education"

May 5-8, 2009 at Daugavpils University, Latvia

The sub-theme of the conference this year is "Research and Implementation of
Education for Sustainable Development" that allows for a great diversity
of contributions under the suggested sections of Conference. The main emphasis
is put on the synergy between the research and implementation of Education for
Sustainable Development and enrichment of research methodology and methods to
be used in the current context of Education for Sustainable Development.

Sections of Conference will include:

- Phenomenology of ESD

- Research for ESD

- Teacher Education for ESD

- ESD in Higher Education

-Organisation of Learning and Research Environment in ESD (pre-school, primary, and secondary level)

- ESD and Social Work

- ESD and E-learning

- Photography in the Context of Globalization and Sustainable Development

- Earth Charter as a Framework for ESD

- Earth Charter Youth Initiative and Multicultural Approach to ESD(Students' section)

The language of the conference is English.
