About the organization
Established in 1994. HERO is a small but effective association of researchers in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Science teachers, architects. Main aims of HERO: maintenance of a healthy natural and man-made (indoor and outdoor) environment, by initiation of environmental studies, estimation of the quality of environment and evaluation of the risks of the pollution;
- environmental education, education for sustainable development activities for different target groups, focusing on young people, school children and teachers;
Summary of your action plan in SUPPORT
main role of HERO in SUPPORT :We work on three levels:
- directly with schools,
- contacting educational authorities,
- collaborating with international partners for disseminating SUPPORT activities and results.
Participating actively in the network,we will be able to disseminate ESD results in Romanian to increase knowledge of interested teachers, school staffs in the field of sustainability education as a life long learning process.
