The SUPPORT project
SUPPORT is a network of organizations working to promote high quality Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), with the support of the EU Comenius Lifelong Learning programme .
Education for sustainable development should help young people become lifelong learners and active and responsible citizens. New kinds of educational frameworks are needed to enable pupils to understand complex issues and provide them with opportunities to acquire relevant skills, reflect critically and develop their own values and attitudes regarding sustainable development. Read more about SUPPORT to see what we are doing.

Sustain - international website with educational tools
Learning activities and thematic materials are being developed on the website sustain.no . Tools and activities on this webpage have been used by schools in over 50 countries!
Discuss and learn more about Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)
In 2008-2010, partners of the SUPPORT network will organize a number of thematic conferences, workshops, Comenius contact seminars and Study Visits within EU's Lifelong Learning Programme to bring together teachers, learners and specialists to share perspectives, cooperate and exchange best practice in ESD. You can see the events listed in our calendar (link) and we hope you will find something that is of interest to you!
You can also find intersting links on ESD under "External links".
We collect success stories
The SUPPORT project will strive to compile the experiences and lessons from the project and to disseminate and communicate it to policy makers in participating countries. A main component in this work is to write a book which will include a number of "success stories" of collaboration for education for sustainable development. If you know a real ESD success story, please, get in touch with the SUPPORT secretariat.
